WHO- This class is for anyone who wants to create beautiful edits of your photos. You don't have to be a professional photographer! Anyone who has CS2 & up or PSE 9 & up who wants to learn how to make your images come to life... whether it's just for fun or for paying clients, you will love this class.
WHAT- I show you my COMPLETE ( I have no secrets!) workflow. Learning the steps I use on every single image will allow you to create an efficient & effective workflow that works for you! This isn't a boring 'Here's how to use Photoshop' class it's a ' Here's how I use Photoshop to create beautiful edits' Here you will be shown the all things you NEED to know within one class that would take normally take years of research, basic classes, reading forums & watching tutorials online to achieve.
WHEN- Group Sessions are twice a month & fall either on a Tuesday or Sunday. There are both day & evening time slots available. Just make sure you pay attention to your time zone when deciding which class will work best:) The class is 4 hours long with plenty of time for questions. You can snack & take breaks as needed:)
WHERE- All sessions are taken online via a web conferencing software. This will allow you to stay in the comfort of your on home(can we say pjs?!) & view my screen on your computer while you listen to me walk you through each step. You may also ask questions along the way! This is all LIVE.
HOW- Before your class begins you will receive the login info to connect to the session. It is all very simple & convenient.
WHY- I remember the feeling of staring at my screen not knowing where to start, what to do, how to do it & the frustration of not being able to get my images to look like I wanted. I also remember editing an image & looking back on them thinking, 'Oh that's AWFUL'... I remember asking other photographers to critique them & having them ripped to shreds. I have been there. It's not a fun place to be, but we have ALL been there & start there. It took me a very long time to get past that point. A Photoshop Mentoring Session with me will get you past all of that & take your images to the next level. Upon completion of the class you will feel confident, motivated, excited & inspired. Why wouldn't you want to give that to yourself?
What the class attendees are saying:

I would recommend this class to everyone!"- Jennifer G.

Photoshop Mentoring - FAQs
Is this class beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I can't say it's any particular one. I will show you my workflow & thought process behind what I do on every photo. It covers such a wide range, that you get all levels. With that being said, the people newest to photoshop & editing will gain the most, but nobody will walk away without learning something new.. including me!
Can you show something more than once, if I can't keep up?
I will be repeating steps of the class several times on different images to make it easy for you to understand & to make learning easier.
Can I ask you questions during the class?
Absolutely! I will have a specific Q&A time at the end, but there will be some time to ask questions as we go during the class. If for some reason we don't have time to answer a specific question. I will make sure to answer it after the class.
What type of Photoshop do you use?
I use CS4, but the steps I use can all be done in CS2 & up along with PSE 9 & up. If you are a PSE use you will be able to translate what I show you in CS into PSE.
Will I be doing the class along with you?
You will not be running anything on your computer other than the meeting. It will be too important to see what I am doing at all times & taking notes. Having Photoshop or anything else running will slow down & possible mess up your connection to the class.
What are some of the things I will learn?
It's too comprehensive to list here, but a few of the main things you will learn are:
I am new to photoshop, will this be too much for me to understand? Not at all, It's good to have a bit of a feel for it & basic things, but if not it won't hinder your learning experience. After the class you will get a few tutorials on some of the basics of photoshop to keep on file if needed.
Will you edit one of my photos during the class? There will be an option to submit one of your images for critique & edit in the class. I find this to be a very beneficial way to learn for yourself & others. It is optional & depending on the # of submitted images & time I may not get to them all.
Do you use actions? One part of the class will go over actions, how/why I use them & how to get the most out of them. I will also discuss my thought process while working with them. I find actions to be an incredible asset while editing, but it is not the main focus of this class. This class will help you with your COMPLETE workflow(which may or many not include actions).
Do I get anything else other than the actual class? This class is a great value in many ways. Besides the actual instruction in the class you will receive a Digital 'Goodie Bag' that will have a tip sheet, shortcuts, tutorials & access to a private alumni group on facebook. This way you can ask questions & communicate with me & other class members to continue your learning:)
How will I login to the class? You will receive login information a few minutes before your class start. Its very easy & you will just follow the instructions.
What do I need to have to participate in the class? You will need an internet connection with cable modem, DSL or better(no dial up), a computer with the system requirements below & headphones or speakers to listen to the class.
