Behind the Edit | Before & After | Photoshop

What you need to know about the shot: Wanted to get some very fun, colorful & urban themed images of Harrison. I usually work off of one thing being colorful & not the whole image.. so I decided it was time. The time was around 10am & light was fine. SETTINGS: ISO 100 F 1.6 & 1/1600 shot in RAW. Shot on: Canon 5d MkII w/ 50mm 1.2L

What you need to know about the editing process: The final results are fairly quick when repeated, but I went through a couple of color edits before going with this one. This is very colorful & is a matter of taste I'm sure. This whole edit was done with actions. I did another edit without actions at the end of the post:)

THE PROCESS

- pulled raw image straight into PHOTOSHOP no adjustments made in ACR.
- ran Color Lush action from Florabella's Classic Workflow set- group opacity 100%
         - adjust your sunshine layer on 20%
         - adjusted lighten layer(around 20%)
         - richer color layer ON 30%
         - color pop 55% masked off body
         - lighten shadows layer 40%
- ran Sable from Florabella's Classic Workflow Set - low opacity 15%
- ran Sweet Tea from Florabella's Classic Workflow Set - low opacity under 10%
- ran Add Some Drama from Florabella's Classic Workflow Set- Opacity around 60%
- ran brush on color pop around 30% (everything but the body)
- Flattened layers-
- ran Clarity/Defog around 40%

All actions used above can be found HERE:)

*NOTE: All images are different, you may not get the same exact results depending on your starting image. If something is off with it, try to figure out what is different & then adjust a layer that will adjust that problem.

So when I repeated the action on another image it took no time, as I already had it figured out. I love actions, good ones anyway. They make my life easier & are fun. I decided to do another last minute edit of the same image using my own edit:)

So that's it... another 'Behind the Edit' for you guys! Did you like it?? If so come on over & follow my facebook page to let me know which images you would like to see featured!

Slowly.... | Franklin Tn Photographer

It's nice to have a shoot that doesn't have a 'deadline'. Unfortunately for me it usually takes me forever to complete the photos without one. I'm slowly working on Harrison's shoot & here are the latest finished edits. Two different styles.. same cute boy :)

Two different vibes happening here... I am so easily inspired by one thing in an image that I have no problems having a completely different edit... for me, it's just how my brain works & I like it that way:) The below image was inspired by the pink/blue coloring & Harrison's stance. It reminded me of a pastel Miami/Bahamas vibe.......
