So the last of Sparkling Seal's learning lineup... mentoring:) This is probably my favorite of them all. Anyone who has ever had a photography related convo with me can tell you.... I LOVE to talk about it. HA! To be able to build relationships and help others work on what they are passionate about..so awesome. I love seeing the progress and get so invested in your success. Giving you the extra boost you need is what its all about:) Check out the deets:
So here is day 2 of the new class lineup:) This one is such a great deal and so worth the money. I would have given anything to have had something like this for this price when I first started getting serious. Workshops/classes/mentoring are such great things. I still want to go to workshops.. just don't have much time, plus all the ones I want to go to are either across the continent or the world! Maybe one day:) I love this 1{on}1 cause it is so customizable. You can really do what you are focusing on. Its great! Here are the deets:

So I am totally not doing as good of a job as I would like with my blog. I have so much going on, but I am going to try to incorporate some new things into the blog and have some exciting new things to share.
Now on to the photos... I just can't say enough how much I LOVE that so many girls come in and do these pictures for themselves. It is just such a great gift... for YOU. As women, we are so hard on ourselves, and to be able to truly feel beautiful is such a great feeling.
Did I mention our last Boudoir Marathon took place in the middle of a flood? Of course we did not realize this until halfway through. We were in the middle of Jennifer's shoot and I received multiple calls and texts with pictures of things I couldn't even wrap my brain around. So we turned on the TV and watched as it was happening... cars floating down I-24.. someone also lost their life during that moment.
At the time, it was just the beginning.. we were in such shock, yet on a tight schedule so we didn't have the chance to really take in everything that was happening. We continued along.. once Jennifer finished her shoot she left to go home. She lives only about 20 miles from the hotel... well she texted me about 3 hours later she was STILL not home. She ended up having to stay at a hotel that night. She did eventually make it home the next day. I felt so awful that she and the other girls had to be out in that weather... but how were we to know a 500 yr flood was gonna hit us?!
So after Jennifer saw her pictures... this was her response, "Brenna, OMG. I couldn't believe that was me in the pic(s). I'm so glad I did it. I would even go through being out in the flood to do it again! LOL! Abby's right, you and Emily ROCK!!" I am so glad to know that we provide a fun enjoyable experience for people no matter what:)
I showed you all a sneak peek from this shoot a few weeks back on Facebook. I had a great time with this shoot and Brayden was such a doll! He was trying to 'stike a pose' at all times. He just turned 2 so he was feeling all big and proud. I am so glad that it is finally pretty outside... I get the chance to focus on all the fun kiddo shoots outdoors. Thanks to mom and dad for walking all over the place with me! :)
So I have been WAY behind doing my son's pictures.. Believe it or not I kinda dread doing his pics sometimes. I am soooo patient with other children, nothing they do phases me... but with my own.. I get so mad! hahaha. I feel like he should just be used to me taking pics by now and be the most perfect model ever! Yeah right.. Although I will say he did way better this time than last time. I am sure by the time he is older he will be on it for me(or he will hate it when I pull out the camera even more). Anyway, here are just a few from the first shoot of two. I am doing another shoot with him in a bit. I hope you like them!
I know a lot of you don't live in Middle Tn... so I need to make sure everyone is aware of the devastation going on here and also providing info on how to help. I have lived in Franklin Tn my WHOLE life. I have always been so thankful that my hometown is a town that I don't want to run away from. I have seen a huge change in Franklin in the past 20+ years, but what I have seen this weekend is jaw dropping, mind blowing, tragic, devastating, and heart wrenching.
People have lost homes, belongings, vehicles, businesses, jobs, pets, family and friends. Even if just the basement was flooded, people have lost water heaters, ac units, washer & dryers, and all kinds of things stored in the basement that are irreplaceable. The City of Nashville(just 20 minutes from Franklin) has also taken on a huge amount of damage in regard to the tourism industry here. Historic 2nd Ave has been completely taken over by the Cumberland River. It will require millions of dollars and a lot time to repair. Opryland Hotel is under 10 feet of water and if you have never been there it is a BEAUTIFUL place. Its truly a tragedy here. I'll attach some videos for you to get an idea.. and links of how you can help!
Even though some areas have water going down, this is when we truly see the damage left behind. If you have an avenue to repost this info.. PLEASE DO. We need all the help we can get! An easy way to donate is to text 'REDCROSS' 90999.

Here is what my town looks like, Hwy 96 is where my childhood home is located and where my parents live.
This is a very artistic video or the flooding, yet doesn't fully encompass how bad it really is.
Here are some photos of Bellevue one of the hardest hit residential areas
Footage of inside the Opryland Hotel
Don't forget about us!
These are just some of the areas affected... all of middle tn has serious flooding. Please check out the links above and see what you can do to help!
ANTM(America's Next Top Model)is the nickname Miss S. received after blowing me away with her modeling skills. Of course it was right after she said, "I am nervous, and have no idea how to pose or anything like that"...girls always say that.. I mean we are not models and don't go on sexy photo shoots everyday! So of course I reassured her I would direct her for the most part and let her personality take care of the rest. Well... TWO shots in.. she was on FIRE...perfect pose after perfect pose.. AMAZING. It was an awesome shoot.. and I am certain her man is so proud of his lady. Thanks Miss S! YOU ROCKED IT! Here are some of the images she approved for you all to see.:)
